United Way of Knox County invests donor dollars in programs and services of partner agencies that serve area residents.
These partners provide mentors for youth, socialization for older adults, homelessness prevention programming, and more. Annually, many local volunteers review program investment packets from partner agencies, participate in panel interviews, and then make recommendations to United Way’s Board of Trustees for financial investment in programs of partner agencies as a result of the annual community investment campaign. These monies come from employee workplace campaigns, corporate giving, and gifts from generous individuals.
