FamilyWize Prescription Savings

Cost should never prevent you from taking you medicines.  FamilyWize and United Way are proud to bring prescription savings to everyone by providing FamilyWize Prescription Savings Cards.

For years, United Way of Knox County has collaborated to bring greater stability to Knox County.  We know from experience that families living on the edge never struggle with just one issue: it's the combination of several problems piling up that prevents families from finding stability and truly thriving.  We partner with FamilyWize to increase the Health and Financial Stability of Knox County families.  Through their prescription savings card, FamilyWize works to make prescription medications more affordable for all families so that no one ever has to make the hard choice between the meds they need and other basics like food or rent.

Who Can Use The Prescription Discount Card?

FamilyWize prescription drug discount cards can be used by everyone in the community for prescription medicine.  Not just people with no insurance.   There are no usage, age, or income limits.

How Does the Card Work?

Simply give the card to the pharmacist with your prescription.  An instant discount— varies by medication—is applied to the prescription medicine.  The card provides pharmacy discounts (up to 75%) on all FDA approved prescription medicine not covered by insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or other benefit plans.  You pay either the discounted price or the pharmacy's retail price, whichever is lower.

Access the card at this link. Download the FamilyWize App by texting 700-700 from a text enabled phone or device.
