When you join other community members in investing in United Way, your donation improves local lives and our entire community.  Our priority Health community issue is creating a healthy community.  Thanks to the work of 40 local volunteers, the following Health Programs were selected to receive an overall investment of $295,104 from the $1,150,000 campaign for 2015:

American Red Cross East-Central Ohio Chapter

  • Blood Services $13,500 and Community Services $13,700

The Freedom Center

  • Program Care Management $45,000
  • Strengthening Families/Families in Recovery $14,500

Kno-Ho-Co Ashland Community Action Commission

  • Women's Reproductive Health Services $22,384

Knox County Head Start, Inc.

  • Child and Family Health and Wellness Program $35,800 
  • Parenting Knowledge, Engagement and Training $52,500

Public Health Partnership of Knox County

  • Knox Out Tobacco Program $22,000
  • Oral Hygiene Preschool Education Program $8,320

Visting Nurse Association of Mid-Ohio

  • Home Healthcare $10,000

YMCA of Mount Vernon

  • Community Wellness Program $57,400
