We at United Way of Knox County are dedicated to improving lives through Education, Health, Community and Financial Security. We run various programs designed to uplift our communities and provide much-needed assistance to those who need it the most.
The Alcohol & Drug Freedom Center of Knox County
198 participants engaged in wellness activities that increased opportunities for sobert support and substance use-free activities. These participants had an increased understanding of the importance of stress reduction and the benefits from the use of proven stress management techniques. 278 adults and 17 youths received case management and care coordination. 295 clients were given enhanced access to quality physical, dental, and behavioral health care. 24 adults and 16 children were served through individual or group sessions. 40 total clients increased their knowledge and understanding about the impact of substance use disorders on a family and these participants demonstrated healthy boundary setting and positive coping strategies.
Kno-Ho-Co-Ashland Community Action Commission
The Women�s Reproductive Health Screenings program served 185 unduplicated uninsured women by providing comprehensive reproductive health exams and digital mammogram screenings. Through direct access to preventive care and diagnostic services, women received early detection, follow-up referrals, and timely treatment, supporting improved health outcomes and long-term wellness.

Knox Health Planning Partnership
The Senior Health and Wellness program served 127 unduplicated seniors by providing home visits, health education classes, transportation support, and preventive health services. Through initiatives such as blood pressure clinics, Bingocize classes, and medication support, seniors experienced improved health outcomes and increased independence, exceeding original participation goals.

The Program Care Management initiative served 495 unduplicated individuals, providing intensive case management to individuals with mental health and substance use challenges. Clients received personalized support accessing housing, medical care, transportation, employment, benefits, and treatment services, resulting in improved stability, increased engagement in care, and reduced unmet needs across critical life areas

Hospice of North Central Ohio, Inc
Grief Services for the Knox County Community served 313 unduplicated individuals through grief groups, counseling sessions, workshops, and Camp Hope programming. Individuals and families received compassionate support while developing coping skills and navigating loss, ensuring access to grief care during some of life�s most challenging moments.
Knox Health Planning Partnership
The Knox Out Tobacco program served 56 unduplicated adults by providing evidence-based tobacco cessation counseling and follow-up support. Participants received individualized guidance to quit tobacco use, resulting in a 25% success rate at three-month follow-ups and helping reduce tobacco use across the community.
Knox County Head Start
The Child and Family Wellness program served 807 unduplicated children and family members by providing health screenings, developmental assessments, home visits, and parent education. Families received support accessing medical, dental, and developmental care, resulting in improved child health outcomes, early intervention, and stronger family engagement in wellness practices.

160 women successfully underwent their annual women's health exam and/or digital mammogram screening
Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio, Inc
121 East Knox students received at least one Behavioral Healthcare intervention. 70 students received ongoing behavioral health services
Centerburg Senior Services
104 seniors actively took part in our program, which featured classes available throughout the week, spanning five days. These classes were curated to involve participants in various fitness activities, promoting their overall well-being and engagement
Knox County Head Start
A total of 131 recently enrolled Head Start children underwent comprehensive health and developmental screenings, while an additional 148 essential medical and dental treatments. 103 parents actively engaged in health and wellness education sessions. 1,420 home visits were conducted, catering to pregnant mothers, infants, toddlers and preschoolers alike. 446 Knox County parents, guardians and caregivers participated in educational sessions. 861 units of parenting education were delivered
YMCA of Mount Vernon
The Community Wellness Program provided financial assistance to individuals and families who otherwise could not afford YMCA memberships or programs. In 2025, 705 unduplicated individuals were served through 212 scholarships, removing financial barriers to physical activity, youth programming, and social connection. Participants consistently reported improved health, reduced stress, and progress toward personal wellness goals as a result of increased access to YMCA services.
