The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army's youth programs serve 42 children (K - 5th grade), providing a safe, supportive environment for learning and development, so parents can work without the worry of caring for their children. Curriculum targets all areas of early childhood development--- social, emotional, cognitive, and physical--- and includes individualized tutoring and homework assistance to help each child succeed.
American Red Cross
4,400 units of blood were collected from a total of 170 hosted blood drives, helping a total of 2,690 individuals.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross Disaster Services program supported 270 individuals through free smoke alarm installation, battery replacement, and guidance with the formation of escape plans in high-risk neighborhoods identified through RC View, a GIS mapping tool that integrates fire incident data and social vulnerability indicators. In addition, youth-focused programs in schools and community centers teach children lifesaving fire safety skills and coping strategies to build safer, more prepared communities.
New Directions
New Directions' Survivor Support program provided comprehensive, trauma-informed services and emergency shelter to 429 individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. This program addresses both immediate safety and long-term stability by focusing on housing, transportation, and financial well-being, to help survivors rebuild their lives.
Hope Now Furniture Bank
Hope at the Table, a new program designed to provide families with simple, high-quality dining tables and chairs, served 662 individuals in 2025, providing families with over 50 tables and nearly 200 chairs.
Hospice of the Western Reserve
Hospice of the Western Reserve supported 164 individuals through individual and group counseling, expressive arts, music and pet therapy, school-based programs, and specialized children�s bereavement camps.
Muskingum Valley Council BSA
BSA supported 95 Cub Scouts and 167 Boy Scouts, through programs focused on participation, youth retention, and leadership. Scouts contributed 6,543 service hours, completing projects that improved local parks, restored community spaces, and supported veterans.
AFF CASA
CASA volunteers serve as a bridge between Children's Services, families, and the court system, ensuring the best interests of the child in these cases are consistently represented. CASA served 46 children in the custody of Knox County, who are victims of abuse and/or neglect, and ensures dedicated, consistent advocacy throughout these cases.
Knox County Head Start
The Child and Family Wellness program promotes healthy development and learning by ensuring that over 760 pregnant moms and children ages 0-5 receive health, dental, and nutrition screenings, along with case management to support preventive care and follow-up treatment. The program ensures parents receive practical health and wellness strategies in support of improving child social-emotional development, child and adult health, and encouraging healthy environments and choices.
The Winter Sanctuary
The Winter Sanctuary Advocacy for Stable Housing program provided 349 individuals unhoused or at risk of homelessness with support and emergency shelter. The program worked closely with each guest to address the barriers preventing stable housing, often including financial management, mental health, addiction, disability, and employment challenges.
The Freedom Center
The Freedom Center's Care Management and Empowering Recovery with Wellness programs supported individuals in recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction through a variety of individualized and group wellness activities. Offered beyond regular treatment hours, these activities take place in both community and home settings, promoting healthy routines, and reducing stress and boredom, improving physical health, increasing social connection, and boosting self-esteem and motivation.
KnoHoCo Health
KnoHoCo provided accessible and affordable reproductive health care to 160 individuals without health coverage, including pap screenings and digital mammogram screenings. Through referrals, outreach, and walk-in appointments, clients received timely reproductive health care screenings-- typically within two weeks-- ensuring improved access to essential preventive care.
